Anchor Point Group is a leading wildfire management consulting firm specializing in services related to Wildland Urban Interface issues. Anchor Point Group was named after the fire suppression term “anchor point”, which describes the place at which all fire suppression activities should begin. Anchor Point Group was founded to provide prescribed fire services for the Turner Foundation at Vermejo Park Ranch in Raton, New Mexico and to develop a wildfire hazard and risk assessment report for the Kenai Peninsula Borough and the Alaska State Forest Service. Anchor Point has provided forest and fire management services for public land management agencies, governments throughout the nation, private landowners, homeowner's associations, developers, land trusts, and fire departments with Wildland Urban Interface responsibilities since 1998.
