Chris White

Chris co-founded Anchor Point and oversees the operations of the Wildland Urban Interface division. His extensive background in project management complements his fire management skills to advise clients on Wildland Urban Interface issues. Chris is also responsible for all related Wildland Urban Interface education and training. Prior to co-founding Anchor Point, Chris was the Fire Management Specialist for Boulder County, Colorado. In this capacity, he worked daily as an interagency fire management coordinator with the USFS, Colorado State Forest Service and eighteen local fire districts and functioned as liaison to the County Land Use departments of planning and building. After spending his early career with USFS and Colorado State Forest Service, Chris became the state's first, county level, Wildland Fire Coordinator for Summit County, Colorado. Chris has achieved many single resource qualifications through the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG), including Type 2 Burn Boss (RXB2) and Division Group Supervisor (DIVS). Chris was one of the first red carded Structure Protection Specialists (STPS) for the nation.

Chris holds a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management and Park Management from Penn State University.

Rod Moraga
Rod co-founded Anchor Point and oversees the operations of the Ecosystem Management division. Rod is also responsible for all related Ecosystem Management education and training. His expertise in forest and fire ecology, in combination with his skills as a Fire Behavior Analyst, are used to develop and implement comprehensive forest management and prescribed fire plans. Rod focuses on the reintroduction of fire to enhance ecosystem health, while mitigating the Wildland Urban Interface fire threat. Prior to co-founding Anchor Point, Rod was the Prescribed Fire Manager for the Boulder Fire Department. After spending his early career with USFS, Rod became the Forest and Fire Ecologist for the Boulder Open Space Department. He has achieved numerous single resource qualifications through the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) including Fire Behavior Analyst (FBAN), Type 2 Burn Boss (RXB2) and Division Group Supervisor (DIVS).

Rod holds a B.S. in Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University and an A.A.S. in Forest Recreation from Paul Smith's College. He is bilingual in Spanish.
