19,532,800 properties have a moderate or higher risk value within the US.  This equates to over 1.1 Trillion dollars in insured value.    Our data paints a picture of wildfire exposure for underwriting, pricing, portfolio analysis and loss estimation across the United States. The goal of the system is to differentiate risk throughout the country, to recognize risk, understand why it exists and drive profitable decision-making.

The system provides the how and why of every risk score to educate policy holders on their existing condition and how to properly mitigate their unique wildfire exposure

Over the past 20 years, Anchor Point has prepared over 180 wildland fire assessments/ fire plans throughout the U.S. and internationally. The foundation of all our projects is fuel modeling and accurate fire behavior analysis.  Our corporate experience bridges remote sensing/GIS, fuels and wildfire planning to response, providing our clients with an exceptionally well-rounded team to ensure a scientifically-based and accurate fire management plan.

Municipal water supplies are often sourced from heavily vegetated watersheds (often Federal lands) and can be particularly vulnerable to wildfire. This service creates a watershed-management plan that identifies and prioritizes locations within the watershed where site-specific fuels treatments

(<200 acres) can be placed to prevent or minimize postfire hydrologic impacts in drainage areas that contributes to the municipal supply reservoirs and effect infrastructure.

Anchor Point’s CWPP service is a critical  product that provides clients a complete, scientifically-sound picture of their wildfire threat. Assessments can be conducted from the smallest subdivision to the multi-state level. The company’s methodology and technology exceed all the requirements of the 2003 Community Wildfire Protection Plan federal directive (HFRA). AP has assessed over 2,800 communities with our CWPP service.

Our approach to wildfire management for utilities improves working relationships with responders, shows due diligence in managing repetitive loss and improves customer relations through the public knowledge that the company is implementing a practical, functional plan to help prevent future loss.

Benefits of the system:

  • Provides metrics for the prioritization of tree trimming and planning

  • Identifies adjacent community exposure

  • Promotes continuance of operations

  • Empower local first responders to be safer and more effective.
